(Complementary
Alternative Medicine Information For Doctors)
an open letter to all health practitioners but
especially M.D.s
( who need to catch up!) by contributing editor
My goal is
to help you become consciously competent in seeking out and reviewing alternative
modes of therapy and treatment for your patients.
That is a pretty
presumptuous title is it not? Well, I
had to get your attention. I am assuming you are a doctor, e.g. M.D., D.O.,
DDS, Chiropractor, even some Naturopaths, etc. I think you are
becoming aware that your patients are chomping on the bit to get INFORMATION ABOUT ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE.
UPDATE:
*Almost two-thirds of the patients being treated with chemotherapy alone using alternative therapies versus just 35 percent of those only receiving radiation.
*Virtually all patients who opt for CAM treatments (88 percent) were satisfied with them as a cost-effective cancer treatment and used an average of two (either vitamin, herbal or botanical).
*Only 36 percent of patients believed their doctors were an important source for information about CAM. Source: Are You Still Keeping Secrets From Your Doctor?
Up until now, M.D.s in most states of the
I want to call your attention to
an array of new experimental alternative
therapies (below) that you may want to recommend to your patients who
are otherwise untreatable. They are only experimental by the government’s
definition since people who use them swear by them and will fight to defend
their right to use them! You patients
will love you for it and you will have moved the cause of integral medicine
forward by one more step.
Up until now you may have
been resisting for multiple reasons (see article The Challenge of Educating Physicians about Complementary and Alternative Medicine
). I
am here to tell you that the time has arrived.
There is a revolution afoot, and if you as their physician,
do not adapt, they may just leave you behind for something that works better;
and they won’t ever tell you about it because you have trained them not to talk
about it to you!
Let's cut to the chase. The doctor must be involved in this triangle;
patient, doctor, alternative therapy.
That is the new As you must realize, there is growing evidence that
a majority of patients are now seeking alternative information on their own. They
do not trust the allopathic medical profession to help them in this search
because they have been let down and even lied to. You must change this now. There does not need to be a war between
allopathic and alternative medicine.
There must be synergy, the win-win solution where we all win, not the
“zero-sum game” of the casino or the big pharma companies
that leads to the suppression of symptoms and subsequently new, effective cures
and the inevitable worsening of our national health. From
Dr. Mercola’s health blog: www.mercola.com/blog Alternative Medicine Still Scares Pediatricians “Lately, there are news stories
popping up every week taking the media by storm that reflect the growing
disenchantment patients and medical experts are having with conventional
medicine, some as huge as the Vioxx scandal have
attracted a great deal of attention. And some that don't command the
attention they should -- which is why you should subscribe to my free twice-weekly eHealthy News
You Can Use newsletter -- like the results of a study that showed
many pediatricians acknowledge their patients use complementary and alternative
therapies (CAM) to improve their health, yet most do not feel comfortable
discussing or recommending these therapies. The reasons pediatricians
didn't prescribe alternative treatments for their young patients: The study also found many of you
weren't letting pediatricians off the hook either. An impressive 87 percent of patients had asked their
pediatricians about Despite their reservations, about
a third of the pediatricians surveyed said they or a family member had used
alternative therapies in the past year, and more than 60 percent of them felt
alternative therapies could enhance recovery or relieve symptoms. Emphasizing alternative therapies
that treat the root cause of disease rather than the symptoms is at the heart
of my vision to transform the existing medical
paradigm from one addicted to needless pharmaceuticals and surgeries.” Now, please read this again: “Despite their reservations, about a third of the
pediatricians surveyed said they or a family member had used alternative
therapies in the past year, and more than 60 percent of them felt alternative
therapies could enhance recovery or relieve
symptoms.” My goal is
to help you become consciously competent in seeking out and reviewing
alternative modes of therapy and treatment for your patients. I want to get you started with the top three
alternative sites I have ever seen. They
offer bona fide solutions if not FDA approved therapies. They may never gain the questionable blessing
of the “powers that be” for the very reason they are suppressed, i.e. they work
too well. But they are complementary. There are no panaceas of which we know.
Combining various therapies judiciously can sometimes produce a cure where none
was possible with just one. And, the patient has the advantage that he or she
came by this new therapy through you.
Who else knows the individual and peculiar needs of your patient as well
as you? And, someone has to do all those
diagnostic tests and so forth to monitor progress etc. Measuring success is very important and also
has its own positive feedback effect, i.e. the demonstrated power of
faith and prayer, of suggestion by an authority figure, and the placebo effect,
etc. (Not to mention the fact that any practical, doctor-supervised studies of these
new technologies can only help the science of Medicine keep up with the very
real threats of the coming years by the dissemination of this heretofore
esoteric and underground knowledge.) I am not going to debase this information by trying
to sketch out a readers digest version. Rather, I want you to check out these
sources and come to your own conclusions. I believe they are very
straightforward in their approaches.
Just please be honest and objective and give it a chance. I have made it
easy for you to move through at an optimum pace. For a high-density approach to cutting-edge therapeutic technology see SYNERGISTIC ENERGY MEDICINE. RifeTech: This is Physicist’s Gary Wade’s version of the revolutionary work Royal Rife did in
the 1930’s (and later suppressed). He has
upgraded it and improved it using our current technology and knowledge (dare I
say future tech and know-how) and articulated it so that even the
math-and-physics-challenged can comprehend. Rife is very effective in most microbial based diseases and Gary Wade’s approach is unique.
His approach is simple, direct and overwhelmingly effective. It is based on low intensity, wide band
ultra-sound but of an intensity that is thousands of
times less than a standard fetal scan.
There is no danger to the patient and it can be used synergistically
with all other therapies. There are only
a few conditions where this modality cannot be used, e.g. right after surgery. He has arranged his articles for practitioners so they can access them according to
information density desired. Summation: Okay,
your move. Don’t be the only doctor on
the block who has “alternative phobia”.
Like techno phobia it can be fixed.

well. Jack Baker
I believe in COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINE,
synergistic therapies that are guided by the trained and highly educated hand
of a true physician. However, this
healer must have all colors of the rainbow on his pallet. If something works he must be able to use it. And, if the AMA and FDA and even the Review
Board, frown on this good doctor prescribing outside the pharmaceutical-drug
based paradigm, then so be it. He or she should be free to allow his patients who are otherwise untreatable or intractable to be able to
“experiment” with new therapies, even if unorthodox and unconventional.
The physician is needed in this new
paradigm. Why should
the patient be forced to go it alone, to lie to his doctor while he
throws caution to the winds and plunges into some unknown and untested
area? There are too many dark roads a
patient can go down, due to panic and fear, and to a lack of sympathy and
guidance from their primary physician.
But, there are roads of light as well.
Who better to assess these than a dedicated doctor who knows their
patient’s requirements and has some scientific and technical training to help
them access the viability of some new healing modality?

most M.D.s) were afraid to answer because;
